CAER Community Awareness Notification – Shell

Incident Details: This is a message for Shell Manufacturing Centre in Corunna, Ontario on Thursday, Aug. 18. Today, we are conducting Marine boat training at our docks on St. Clair Parkway. You may see our emergency response personnel deploying oil containment booms into the water as well as boats in the water and ERT trucks near the dock. This training exercise will take place over the course of the day, ending by approximately 4 p.m. This type of drill allows us to have confidence in our ability to respond to a real emergency and also provides an opportunity for continued improvement in our emergency response efforts.
