Incident Details: This is Diamond Petrochemicals Canada Corporation. Due to a steam supply interruption from a third party supplier, DPCC will be performing a controlled shut down in one of our units. Neighbours may notice periods of increased flaring and an elevation in noise as a result. Flares are important safety devices that safely burn excess hydrocarbon gases that cannot be recovered or recycled. Flare systems must meet strict environmental controls. When you see flaring, please be assured that flares play a key role in keeping our facility running safely. We strive to minimize flaring, keeping it to times necessary for our continued safe operation. Notification of this activity has been provided to the appropriate parties.
