Suncor Sarnia Refinery Community Notification

Incident Details: The Suncor Sarnia refinery is currently in the process of safely testing equipment. During this time, you may notice intermittent periods of flaring where black smoke may be present. While the appearance of black smoke can be concerning, there is no action required by community members. Should action be required by the community, instructions will be issued by your municipality via Sarnia-Lambton Alerts. We are conducting perimeter monitoring as an added safety precaution and have provided information to the Spills Action Centre.
