Incident Details: Diamond Petrochemicals Canada Corporation has begun the process of safely shutting down process equipment in preparation for a planned maintenance turnaround. Neighbours may notice periods of increased flaring and an elevation in noise as a result. Flares are important safety devices that safely burn excess hydrocarbon gases that cannot be recovered or recycled. Flare systems must meet strict environmental controls. When you see flaring, please be assured that flares play a key role in keeping our facility running safely. We strive to minimize flaring, keeping it to times necessary for our continued safe operation. The work is currently scheduled to be completed on October 23, 2025. There is no community action required at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding while we complete this necessary maintenance work.
