CAER Community Awareness Notification – Suncor Sarnia Refinery

Incident Details: As part of its regular site monitoring activity, the Suncor Sarnia refinery discovered a leak from its fire water system earlier this morning. The affected fire water line has been isolated and the leak is no longer active; however, the water (which is drawn from the St. Clair River) has accumulated in a ditch behind the East Tank Farm on South Vidal Street. No sheen has been observed and we have noticed the Spills Action Centre out of an abundance of caution.
