BASES recognized by SCRCA for contributions to health of St. Clair Region

March 25, 2022/By: Bluewater Association for Safety, Environment, and Sustainability

The Bluewater Association for Safety, Environment, and Sustainability (BASES) was recognized with a Conservation Award from the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority (SCRCA) at the Authority’s Annual General Meeting on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022.

Nominated for the award by SCRCA Board Member, Terry Burrell, BASES was recognized for its commitment to safety and improvement of the environment of the St. Clair Region since the formal launch of the Brand in May of 2021.

BASES has had longstanding involvement with several local environmental groups through the Sarnia-Lambton Environmental Association (SLEA), but the launch of industry notifications through the My Community Notification Network (MyCNN) application last may has led to greater communication, education, and transparency with the Sarnia-Lambton community. The Conservation Authority highlighted how this underscores the organization’s commitment to the health and well-being of the region and the organization’s direct response to feedback from the community.

This feedback helped shaped the BASES brand and was instrumental in the build of www.lambtonbases.ca which provides interested parties with a home for information related to the safety of workers, the environment, and the Sarnia-Lambton community.
