The Industrial Education Cooperative (IEC) will be conducting a three-month pilot initiative to bring the Infrastructure Health & Safety Association’s (IHSA) Basics of Supervising training program to the course offerings at the IEC.

The objective of the Basics of Supervising training program is to prepare new and experienced supervisors to become competent in their health and safety responsibilities as described in the Occupational Health and Safety Act. This two-day training program is intended for front-line supervisors looking to enhance their supervisory skills related to their health and safety responsibilities. This program is also ideal for individuals who manage a workplace and lead front-line supervisors or for those who manage workplace health and safety. This program meets the requirements for health & safety awareness training for workers and supervisors as outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Awareness and Training Regulation (O.Reg. 297/13).

This two-day training program is available to be booked through the IEC’s database and will be offered on the following dates:

  • February 15/16
  • March 8/9
  • April 12/13
