Incident Details: This is a message from the Shell Manufacturing Centre in Corunna. We have experienced an operational issue in one of our units, as a result, the community may notice increased flaring and noise. Additional air monitoring has been initiated and will continue as appropriate. At this time, there is no action required from the community. It is important to note that the flare system is a process safety device and is a normal and vital part of unit shutdown and start up activities. All safety precautions and standard regulatory protocols are being followed. Required notifications have been issued and updates will be made as needed.
