INEOS Community Notification

Incident Details: INEOS Styrolution is notifying the community as a proactive precaution that hourly benzene emissions on-site have been detected above 0.021 parts-per million (67.5ug/m3). Additional notifications may occur, however there is no expected impact on the community. During waste removal by a third-party contractor, a carbon scrubber failure occurred on their truck, resulting in a brief 10-minute spike on an adjacent eGC monitor. All work was immediately stopped and will remain suspended pending a full investigation. The value immediately diminished and all eGC’s are once again reading low.
