NOVA Chemicals Community Notification

Incident Details: On Wednesday, October 15 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, NOVA Chemicals will be conducting a planned full-scale field exercise for our pipeline operations near the intersection of Lasalle Line and St. Clair River Parkway. As part of NOVA Chemicals commitment to ongoing Emergency Response Preparedness, this exercise has been designed to involve responders and observers from various external local emergency response agencies and to examine the effectiveness of our Pipeline Emergency Response Plan. Simulation exercises are an excellent opportunity to test and improve emergency response plans and procedures. Engaging multiple agencies in the response maximizes the training experience and builds solid working relationships in the event of a true emergency. Please note that this field exercise will NOT impact pipeline operations. Residents in the area may notice emergency vehicles. We appreciate the patience of area residents during this exercise and thank the community for their support of this valuable training opportunity.
